The Lake House

We journeyed to the lake this weekend, to receive the key to our new paradise and to eat at Mr. Gatti's... unfortunately, the first time at the lake offers a bad omen when I discover that Mr. Gattis is in fact closed. Bummer... looks like I'll be making the 20 mile trek to the other Mr. Gatti's every time I visit the lake.
I'm quite excited for our new lake house, considering the view is amazing and it has one of the best tanning spots I've ever seen.


Don't worry, fellow lightning kittens, we will have a retreat there very soon. Once Abbey Strunk gets off her crutches....

The view is perfect here... And the blue sky compliments the light blue house so well. Don't worry, the flagpole is lit, so we can fly my Dad's "Party Flag" all night long.  

I can tell you that between the wooden porch swing and multitude of lounge chairs, I'll be blogging ALOT.  The first time I discovered this swing, I fell asleep in it... I can tell that this will be a promising relaxation spot. 

I have a feeling that this sleeping porch will be the setting for many sleepovers... No worries, we are planning on adding a few cots to make it a little more comfortable. And a few curtains too... This room is perfect for sunsets, I was able to witness one and was left breathless. 

New Paradise... the house has a "Rockport" feel but when you walk inside you can tell it's a lake house at heard. The TV is big enough for watching The Bachelor or PLL and has a DVD player, I'm excited to spend rainy days watching marathons of Glee and One Tree Hill.  

The perfect tanning spot: the sun hits just right and you can always feel a cool breeze.. The deck is warm and inviting, so everyone get ready to spend all summer in the sunlight!
