Belmont showed much love to us Texans, however the weather wasn't so kind. I was anticipating a warm spring breeze, and naturally packed J Crew shorts and cardigans. I was greeted with 45 degree frigid cold and resorted to wearing my Belmont sweatshirt that I had purchased that weekend... Yes. I was that girl. Other than that, the weekend was promising. The only down side was that Taylor Swift was out of town that weekend. We had planned on staking out at her apartment... fail.
I had fun eating at the Pancake Pantry in Nashville where we waited in the blistering cold for 49 minutes... it was well worth the wait. Plus, I got the coolest t-shirt ever; clad with buttered pancakes orbiting the Earth.
I discovered some treasures at the Country Music Hall of Fame Museum. Being a Texas girl, I screeched when I found the original lyrics of "White Liar" and "Days Go By." Faith Hill's 2000 Versace heels also screamed my camera's name.
These little glass animals were precious... I was tempted to buy one, but between airport security and my purse I figured I wouldn't be able to keep up with it.
San Antonio Taco Company (SATCO) was also a must-see spot. My Pre Cal teacher (and Vanderbilt alum.) recommended that I visit it. Started by a former Alamo Heights Student, it offered a familiar feel being so far away from home.
These records.... there had to have been at least a thousand. My travel companion's aunt is the mastermind behind mounting all of these records... kudos to her.
Tulips!! This is one thing that I miss from my Nashville trip. I can't remember the last time I saw tulips in San Antonio. It's too hot here...
