Galibardy

Just Stumbled Upon this weird/cool/indie website called Galibardy. I know I should be studying for finals, but I just HAD to blog about these pieces of jewelry. They aren't expensive, and range all under $50. Some of these are too weird for me, but they are just SO cool.

West Elm

I've been on a home-goods frenzy for a while now, and I've finally remembered the name of my favorite home-goods store (after a few hours of pondering). West Elm. It's located pretty close, in my local Quarry Village. If you haven't visited yet, I'd strongly advise it. It's fresh, clean and cute. You'll see why I love it so much.
Here's some of my favorite bedding.
You should be able to tell how truly I love blues and grays. the contrast literally makes me happy. I could sit and stare at the living room pictured below for HOURS.

Love these pillows. Love the contrast.

I am obsessed with this pillow. Anything with an animal print on it, I love. The whales are so cute and colorful, too.

This bedding set-up is much more practical, and I hope to eventually turn my college bed into something this fresh and blue. The cool colors with the white make it look absolutely adorable.
Such a cool lamp!! Earthy and fun.
I love this room because it reminds me of a tree house. All of the neutral and organic colors are fresh and young. I would love curling up in this bed with a book or magazine.

This bedding would be great paired with some light pink or turquoise sheets. It's a lot of pattern, so maybe pairing the shams and the duvet together would be a little over-powering. It's still a great print and color.

Blue. Gray. White. Orange. Everything flows well and the colors are to die for. I love the wood paneled walls and the deep blue color on them. It's mature, yet lively.
This owl lamp is SO cute. You can see it in the living room photo above. So cute, and I love white things.

Shoez

Ok so summer is approaching VERY quickly and I've been noticing that I have NO summer shoes... my feet are a little bit special (fat and wide) and need nicer shoes to be able to withstand the major stretching they cause. So, usually I have to spend more in order to get a more durable shoe. Sucks for me, but at least I get good shoes out of it. These are some of my favorites and I hope these give y'all some ideas about your summer wardrobe! (notice most of them are tan/nude... trend? I think yes.)

All of the shoes above are from Tory Burch

All of these above are from Anthropologie!!

I'm really really tired, so forgive me for the short and sloppy post. But, hey. At least we didn't all die today!!! Rapture fail.
I'm going to do some community service tomorrow.. and I have to wear khaki pants. Too bad I don't own a pair of khaki pants. Awesome. Greeting people for 3 hours with my mom and sister should be fun considering I have to wear KHAKI PANTS

Signing off. Wish we luck tomorrow...

My Kittenz

Sooo everyone has the group of friends that they are in love with. I have one of those, it just happens to be that my group of friends is called the "Lightning Kittens" and we take probably 30-40 selfies a day, if not more.
This pic is SO cute!! Kudos for Matt for this one. Gotta love those indie fathers.
Selfie #569 of the day. Seriously guys, we need to cut down.

 My friends are so shocking!!

The McNay (spelling?) is my new favorite place to be. It's entertaining to watch all of the Graduation photo shoots and the awkward family photographs. What isn't to love about being with your beautiful friends while laying on a quilt next to a super awkward and gigantic sculpture that nobody will ever understand?
Except I will say I'm thinking about instating a new rule that says "no phones allowed" during Kitten bonding time. It's too distracting, but so entertaining, as you can tell.
What does this sculpture even mean?
My point exactly.
Nobody can resist all my Kla$$y Kittenzz!!!!!
Love y'all so much

Home Accents

HOME ACCENTS!!!
Literally, nothing makes me happier. I wouldn't ever hesitate to spend my allowance on candles and lotion. Really though, my room in full of candles. I love them.
Next to candles, my favorite things are tied for pretty flower vases and hanging lights. At Miranda and Blake Shelton's wedding, there were TONS of lanterns, jam jars and chandeliers hanging from trees, and it was picture perfect. I couldn't have imagined anything more precious. Too bad I would've gotten sued if I took pictures, because if I could've taken a camera in, I would've attacked those hanging jam jars with my Nikon. No kidding.
I'm planning on doing a post on my candles soon, being the nerd that I am. Keep an eye out!

Jars similar to these hung from every tree imaginable and from the aisle down to the alter. It was precious and so down to early. Who knew a glowing jam jar could inspire me to blog...
These. Are. So. Precious. I love these little birds!!! And I can't even imagine how pretty they look glowing at night time.

Clean, long and contrasted are my favorite adjectives when it comes to flowers. I am also a huge fan of mums and flowers with alot of petals. The yellow is so vibrant and pretty!!
I really like the idea of having a mini flower bed on my coffee table. The little stones are so cute and clean looking.
Candles, books, flowers and vases... everything I love tied into one!!
Everyone, please go check out Pottery Barn's candles! They are so cute and not as pricey as I expected

Wall Art

Ok... so I have always been obsessed with wallpaper. I don't really know why, considering it can come off as tacky and old lady-ish most of the time. But there's something about patterned walls that seem elegant yet rustic. Wallpaper adds so much personality to a room, and even though it's an absolute PAIN to take down and put up, I will surely be making my husband put up wallpaper in my future home.

NAVY!!!! My favorite!! I've recently figured out why I love navy and white so much. It's not because I have mom-style, as I thought (thank God). I really like contrast. Any kind pretty much (except black and white).

This one would probably give me a headache if it were covering my bathroom, but I feel like covering one wall in a bathroom or closet room would be so cute.
birdcages... so cute. This print would actually look really great in my room, considering my color scheme is turquoise orange and white.
I am such a fan of whimsical/tribal prints. For example, my fellow kitten Emily Arnim (or her sister actually) has these amazing blue giraffe shorts that I am obsessed with. They are gathered and pleated slightly, which are great for her because she has long legs. Why do long-legged people have it so much better?

I'm going to ACL!!!!! You know what that means... I'll be putting up indie pics of people being chill and jamming to bands I've never heard of. Poserrr.... but whatever, maybe ACL will transform me and I won't have to use iPhoto to be indie anymore!!!

Till then

Hoarding

I've been wanting to blog about magazines for a looong time now. I began "hoarding" them, as my mom calls it, about 2 years ago. I have 114 so far and I haven't canceled my subscriptions yet... so I think by the end of senior year I'll have close to 200. I don't but things out of them or look back at them for any reason, I guess I just really like the smell (creepy?) and looking at things that I will never be able to afford. I think it's equal to window shopping. I just prefer to do my window shopping on my couch with a magazine in my hand. Once I find a working scanner, I plan on digging out some of my oldest magazines (dating back to Teen Vogue 2008), and finding some of my favorites. I'm dying to re-read those articles where the "It Teens" are mentioned. It's been a while since I saw an innocent Vanessa Hudgens gracing the covers of Teen Vogue.
More pictures (scans) are to come soon!

Swim Swam Swum

Bathing suit season is here!!! I've taken the liberty of finding some great suits for y'all! Some are more practical than others, and some will leave a freaky tan line, but I love the bright colors and cool styles.
All suits are from Anthropologie. Check them out!
This one is my FAVORITE. I have a weird love for sea horses.... they are so cute and the male has babies. I mean.... that's the coolest thing ever. Plus, the one shoulder turquoise part makes it practical and really unique.

This one is one of my favorites. It's tribal and practical, but it's still a suit that nobody else in Rockport will be wearing.

This one is another favorite. It reminds me of the Black Swan

Classic high-wasted bottoms are classic and flatter most body types. They elongate the leg line which is great for people with short legs (like me).
